MEDIA RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
16th June 2025
The Voice of Truth (TVoT) Ministry has officially launched a new Rehabilitation Centre Project, a bold and faith-driven initiative aimed at transforming the lives of at-risk youths in Baruni Village and the greater National Capital District, and the neighbouring Central Province. The announcement was made during a special launch ceremony at APEC Haus on Saturday, 14 June 2025, attended by key dignitaries, supporters, and members of the ministry.
Among the notable guests present were Hon. Garry Juffa, Governor for Oro Province, Hon. Kerenga Kua, Member for Sinasina-Yonggomugl, and Inspector Nellie Gairi, Chaplain of the Bomana CIS High Security Unit. These leaders shared their encouragement and support for the initiative, acknowledging the critical role of faith-based rehabilitation in addressing social challenges and restoring hope in the lives of young people in our communities.
Founder and National Overseer Mr. Jeremiah Rau explained that the centre, driven by the ministry’s vision to see transformed lives by the Word of God, would serve as a hub of transformation, targeting youth affected by addiction, violence, and social disorder. “This is not built on someone else’s story—it’s based on my own experience with my family,” Mr. Rau said. “The focus of this rehabilitation centre is family building. If we fix the family, the streets will be at peace. When the streets are at peace, the city and nation will be at peace. That’s why we are doing this—for the country.”
Project Vision and Funding
The project is estimated to cost K650,000.00 with a fundraising target of K1 million Kina, aimed at covering construction and early operational costs.
Upon completion of the centre, the rehabilitation program will operate on a one-month cycle, giving participants a structured timeframe for personal transformation and spiritual renewal. Mr. Rau noted that many of the ministry’s past success stories have experienced life-changing breakthroughs in just one month through the ministry’s outreach partnership with the Bomana Correctional Services Institute since 2024. This partnership has seen tremendous changes in the behaviour of inmates, with many successfully released from prison, according to records from the chaplain.
“We want to run it like a school, where young people graduate from destructive patterns into a life of purpose.”
Future Expansion Plans
The long-term development includes:
• Construction of dormitories
• Establishment of a Pastoral Care Centre
• Collaboration with local and international partners and donor agencies
“Some young people have never been to the city. They are struggling in their villages. We want to bring this change directly to their doorstep,” said Mr. Rau. The Voice of Truth Ministry is inviting government agencies, churches, businesses, and the general public to support the project through financial assistance, material support, or partnerships.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our ministry members, partners, and everyone for their support in making this launch a success.
